Kanchan Mondal’s Story
Dr. Mondal has conducted over 20 years of successful research in low-carbon process development, low-carbon and renewable energy, and resilience in small manufacturing industries. Renowned industry entities, Illinois State, and the Federal government has funded his research. Kanchan has 12 years of experience training students in energy management and 7 years in carbon management. He has worked as a regulator with the Illinois EPA on defense sites’ environmental cleanup and transfers to the public. Currently, Kanchan is working on a methodology for developing targets for regional reduction in carbon emissions by optimizing the introduction of low-carbon processes across all sectors.
Kanchan is actively involved in teaching as a Professor at the School of Mechanical. Aerospace and Materials Engineering, Southern Illinois University.
